This is also where dopes like David Corn can’t seem to help themselves from overstating their case. Mitt isn’t trashing or abandoning the two state solution, he’s saying it’s not possible to reach a settlement now. That’s not unreasonable and I would guess that most people in government (and elsewhere) would agree. It probably won’t even happen in our lifetime. Politicians in office will publicly leave open the possibility and go through the motions but nobody expects results.
