Here’s what I understand about a lot of the voters that voted for Trump but aren’t paying attention to politics as much as we do: They have the same concerns as a lot of us over how to keep a roof over their head, feed their children, send their children to school, and getting to a doctor if they get sick. And when things aren’t going their way, they blame minorities, where those of us on the left blame the rich.

The rulers should be blamed when government policies don’t work. The US left thinks that the rich are the rulers. The US right feels that minorities are the rulers.

One of these views is reality-based, the other is not.
