Given our programmed (via evolution) ability to store energy what increased food availability has done in industrialized countries, where people already have what is biologically necessary, has definitely led to obesity.

Look - we talk a lot here about the poor, and the obligation we have to help them get what they need.

So … WalMart offers low prices, including lower prices on food. And we diss them for it? It makes no sense to me - here we have a store that has made a lot of things affordable for lots of people who could not afford them before, and everybody’s pissed off about it. It just makes no sense to me.
