I’m not worried about the Blue Shirts showing up at my door. However, the Presidents choice of descriptions is awkward at best. A “National Security Force” is the wrong name for enlarging volunteer service organizations. Why not call it a National Service Force or National Volunteer Force?

The Presidents failure to communicate well or his calls to “get in the oppositions face” could inspire some thug to open a can of whoop ass on the next College Republican he runs across.

Given the carefully crafted messages during the campaign I cannot imagine his language was completely accidental in this respect. Being charitable I can imagine it was an inelegant attempt to name his future volunteer force in a way that would appeal to the conservative backers of the armed services. That would be a mistake too.

Awkward hell, it was a stupid description and just played into the fears of the right.
