Obama’s election really brought out their true colors.

They could have cited him as living proof of their Conservative American Dream: that anyone, regardless of race or social origins, who works hard enough can aspire to the highest office in the land. Instead, they derided him as a Kenyan Muslim Affirmative Action Manchurian Candidate who bought the office by offering Free Stuff to moochers.

Because anything else would have meant acknowledging his accomplishments, no matter how begrudgingly, and they just could not bring themselves to do so.
