No doubt. They usually have a really great slate of artists. I’ve heard it can be hard to profit off music festivals so I understand them pursuing big headliner dollars. But I also understand folks reacting to it looking for the jazz theme to be especially highlighted by the headlining acts.
And music festivals evolve in funny ways too.

Jazz Fest has always had it’s most exciting acts in the smaller stages and tents. Big acts attract the crowds, but many of the best acts are in smaller venues within the festival.

I’ve been to twelve of them, starting in ‘75. Rollicking good fun.
