Sanders got crushed. All he can accomplish by staying in the race now is to get people killed exposing themselves to covid-19 to vote.

The Berners have decided that his continued presence in the race, even though it’s become statistically impossible for him to win, seems to be falling back on their 2016 arguments. They say he should remain because it adds “legitimacy” to the process, or that it builds enthusiasm and engagement, or simply because they think Bernie gains leverage over the direction of the general election by not bowing out before the convention.

These are not the arguments of people who believe their candidate still has a chance, these are people who’ve reached the bargaining stage.
