re: #55 ralphieboy
Perry has the message that people want to believe:
cut taxes, abolish regulation, create jobs
it fits the soundbyte-friendly, bullet-point style of modern campaigning, sounds good in a 30-second spot with amber waves of grain in the sunset over majestic purple mountains (soaring eagle optional) and is what people want to hear, so they will not bother listening to assessments of all the flaws in the argument.
People outside of Texas don’t know the guy. He will not wear well methinks. Right now he’s Generic Republican to most, simply a rejection of the others who they do know and don’t much like.
