You need to look at Obama’s second term like you do dinosaurs and evolution: it’s merely one of God’s many, many, apparently innumerable tests designed to try your faith.

I’ll also take it as a sign — that the country isn’t yet ready to hand the reins over to the lunatic fringe.

Don’t be so sure of that. If the economy doesn’t improve, moderates (AKA, people who are too fucking stupid to see how nuts the GOP has been) are more than willing to side with someone who they think will fix it.

Even if that means taking the country back to 1736.
