Reading between the lines, it sounds like the Bainbridge crew didn’t know he was in the water until the Somalis had him back under control.

Moreover, even Michael Phelps couldn’t outswim the concussion wave from a grenade tossed into the water. Even at a distance it does fatal things to your internal organs.

If the Bainbridge didn’t know he was in the water, then either (1) they don’t have any night-vision binoculars on board, or (2) I wanna know WTF were they doing!

You point about the grenade is well taken.

My point is that Bainbridge should have had contingency plans, ready to go at an instant.
