The DNC scheduled 26 debates in 2008. This year it scheduled six. Obama’s performance in them versus Clinton’s is given as one to the reasons that Clinton lost. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was Clinton’s campaign manager, now she’s head of the DNC.

Attempting to create an air of inevitability is a strategy though I believe that it also leads people to be complacent at a time when complacency will kill us.
