Well, we are still at war. And the tax cuts, particularly for those making a fuckton of money, persist. And it pisses me off to hear people who support those cuts complain about the deficit.

I understand that. But not all tax cuts are created equal. The cap gains cut was excellent. I think that 15% is just about right.

Bush also spent like a liberal. Tax cuts aren’t so bad if you can pay for them by (a) proving the necessary elasticity to support them and (b) cutting spending to cover the loss of income if the cut isn’t fully elastic. Bush definitely didn’t do (b).
