Yep. This: Just like with his stupid “extra terms” comment: he really does seem to view his Presidency as some kind of personality-driven reality-TV show: “ratings” are all that really matter.

PS: Donny: newsflash: when it comes to “ratings”, broadcasting and live-streaming of your impeachment trial in the Senate would likely (unlike your Inaugural) draw the biggest audience of all time…
