I see that as overly simplistic as well, though it’s an interesting take to be sure. The problem being I can easily envision people holding both of those views in a situationally dependent way.
Politics is too complicated for such simplistic calculus (any such system, not the one you discuss in particular).
Take “racism” as an example. You can perhaps create a definition of such KKK-like racism using that paradigm, but what about racists who happen to be minorities? I hear Hispanics (vociferously Democratic) say things about Jews, Blacks, Asians, etc that stun me all the time. Clearly being racist isn’t a sufficient quality to be “right wing” by any possible measure.
