And amazingly, there’s an entire political party—supported by what may be a majority of the white population and by far too great a percentage even if not the majority—that believes said workers aren’t cheap or easily-exploited enough because the standard of living for an American proletarian is higher than that of a Brazilian one, let alone Chinese or Bangladeshi.

It’s that mindset that frustrates the hell out of me. I’m no leftist but we need to value workers as people rather than just fodder for wealthy people.
