My thought on this particular thing is this:
1. We should expect the president to know at least the major geography of the US.
2. We do all make mistakes, and sometimes learn something that lots of other people knew.
3. He corrected himself.
4. It would have been better if he had added an “I goofed” tweet, but that might have been lost in the storm.

In the grand scheme, I’m way more angry about children in cages and his upcoming attempts to gut Medicaid.

I mean if he could be the slightest bit self-depreciating, it probably would be shrugged off a little easier but because he has his propagandists doubling down on it, it makes it more amplified. In the end, I’m voting against Trump because of the kids in cages and not because of his ignorance of geography but when I have to hear that his ignorance of geography is actually a virtue or how “he really meant both Kansas City”, it’s exhausting.
