The settlements have cut too many holes between the towns. The settlers act out constantly, with burning of Mosques, among other actions. Checkpoints isolate towns. Those checkpoints won’t go away. And Israeli won’t stop undercutting wells. Their is a water crisis on the West Bank,, and Israel isn’t doing anything to stop Settler water consumption.

The Palestinians think that the Israelis are using the negotiations to continue building settlements and taking land. Not to mention under-funding of Arab schools and towns in Israel, with Netanyahu making (at best) token gestures.

After what my friend went through last week, I’m a little less sympathetic to the Israeli side of the conflict.
