Once you’ve fallen for the lie that Obama is a socialist, then everything becomes further evidence of his socialism. Even the use of an innocuous and completely neutral word like forward becomes socialist code. But when a guy like Nixon used forward it was OK because we all know he wasn’t a socialist. The argument is a logical trainwreck.

It’s kinda like the controversy over Obama bowing to a foreign leader. When other presidents bowed, it was OK. But when Obama bows, it means he hates America.
