It’s because they are conservatives, and that means they represent and want a return to the days when very few people could vote. Mostly because those people were not people in their eyes. Blacks, women, non-Christian religions; all were too stupid or evil to vote.

They want those days back.

We want no such thing. Isn’t this over the top? The laws that have passed Supreme Court muster lean over backwards to ensure that no citizen resident of his district is put to any measurable expense or inconvenience to get the required ID.

As to whether or not there is significant voter fraud, with the checks that are now (not) in place, how would anyone know for sure? The book “Who’s Counting” goes into more detail.
