There are extremist nut jobs in ever major religion. In particular the Abrahamic faiths of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, all have a history of homophobia.

Off course if the “sins” of tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality really caused natural disasters you’d expect them to follow the “Sin.” I wonder how these bigots would explain the Great San Francisco Earth Quake that occurred long before America became even remotely accepting of homosexuality.
