Feature, not a bug. Being a Republican these days requires either signing on to or defending:

Young Earth Creationism, AGW denial, no campaign finance laws, Voter ID for everyone except white people, mass deportations, sniper towers and land mines at the border, personhood amendments, open carry and/or non-existent gun laws, rape laws that punish women instead of their rapists, personhood amendments, laws that criminalize miscarriage, forced ultrasounds, no UI benefits, no minimum wage, no child labor laws, the economic incoherence of wanting no taxes and a higher defense budget, Agenda 21 scaremongering and BENGHAZI.

That’s not even an exhaustive list. I probably missed something.

Or in other words wanting to create the perfect America for white, white land owning Christians.
