If they can get their total meal for under $25, then that tip would be… OK-ish. Unless they live in bumfuckistan (which they might, considering they think this is OK in the first place), they will have little luck getting a meal for 2 outside of a place that asks you over a bad PA system while you are sitting in your car if you want to add fries and a drink to make a combo.

I worked in restaurants for years, so I make sure to tip well. I’ve only withheld a tip twice. First was a waitress who took an hour to bring me my check. The second was a waiter who was so coked out that he couldn’t take a drink order correctly. I still have slight guilt about those two times. The guy in that facebook post is a Grade A asshole.
