Trump goes to Florida to claim that he’s helping seniors and protecting Medicare. Anyone with a functioning neuron who takes a look at this “plan” sees it’s bulkshit.

He’s hiking costs to seniors and claiming that this helps? Seniors are among the most cash strapped demographic out there. Most are on fixed income. Between this and the move to adjust cola calculation, this is a massive cut to their available income.

Everything Trump touches dies. And that means seniors will be among those hardest hit. They’re often on fixed incomes and health costs are one of their biggest expenditures. Hike the costs to match private insurers? Why? That only encourages more health care spending without anything to show for it except drug company profits. Medicare is the brake on runaway spending in health sector. Trump wants to cut the brake lines so we have an out of control spending that will result in more medically induced bankruptcies, seniors choosing to cut back on their critical care costs - like cutting back on insulin when it isn’t medically indicated - so that they have money for food on the table or a roof over their heads.

It’s unconscionable, but that’s the GOP for you. The #GOPDontCare.
