Which is why claiming that this was a hoax or done to overturn 2016 is absurd. Pelosi could have started an inquiry based of Mueller’s findings. I think it would have been harder than what’s happened here but she could have. She did not. Trump’s refusal to even acknowledge the slightest wrong doing is going to be his and his party’s undoing here in the end IMO.

The biggest issue with the “THIS IS ALL ABOUT 2016/THEY’VE WANTED TO IMPEACH HIM FOR YEARS!!!” bit is the Dems had this huge blow-up last year over the subject, to the point that there were calls for Pelosi to step down if she would not begin impeachment proceedings with the Mueller Report as a guide. There’s barrels of ink spilled on articles about how resistant she was to even consider impeachment unless something definitive came along. Hell, to this day, I still believe she only went after him on Ukraine because she could no longer hold back the flood.

Nobody buys this BS that this is all a partisan effort to overturn the election, because the people accused of orchestrating such were the biggest proponents of waiting out Trump’s term before Ukraine became an issue.
