Bush was so insanely polarizing that his overblown “support” of Israel, which like any other presidents, in reality, was balanced by a need to cow tow to Arab oil influence, coupled with everything else that made him unpopular, turned ISrael into an easy proxy target.
Disagree. The left’s hatred of Israel went back decades before that. As for Bush’s support of Israel, that got seriously overblown by his supporters, to a degree that would have been funny if it wasn’t now being used to bludgeon Obama.
