I’m staying with my ultra liberal family in CT. They are of the opinion that the south should have been allowed to secede, they have no use or care for the southern states. I think that is horse shit.

“Ultra liberal” types who talk that way don’t really mean that, because there goes that coveted African American vote (and a bunch of my cousins.)

(And it’s not like the other parts of the country were so friendly when we started leaving the south in droves, after the federal government endorsed their anti-Black laws.)
