I don’t think the repubs can hold a candle to the corruption and pay-to-play money whoring done by the left. Some repubs, but not all.

Some do hold a candle very well to them, most of them being from Illinois. Ray LaHood (R-Cellini) comes to mind. It is strongly suspected that Obama chose LaHood for his connections to the concrete and asphalt lobbies in Illinois (which includes one William Cellini, now indicted by Patrick Fitzgerald).
