I was indeed at Philmont for a week-and-a-half, hiking my ass off with my 11-man crew for 70-80+ miles; it’s the fourth time I’ve been there in the past eighteen years and the scenery never ceases to amaze me.

you’re a good man…I was a Scout and my dream was always to go to this fabled place…Philmont…the guy that gave the Scouts that land was a saint….the scenery is extremely dramatic in a soft sort of way…go back up the Cimarron, over the divide and the vast landscape of the Rio Grande valley lies below you…it is very dramatic
