Another Spector negative: he was the original attorney for the murderous sociopath Ira Einhorn. Spector somehow convinced the judge to release the Murder One chargee on $40,000 bail. Then Einhorn conned one of his rich friends out of the $4k bond money, posted it, and then became a fugitive for the next twenty years. He spent about half that time living fairly openly in France, thumbing his nose at US officials and his victim’s family as the French government resisted efforts to have him extradited. The turd was eventually shipped back to the US in 2001, and is now serving life in the PA pen.
