I’m not touching that until we have some sensible Republicans running. Until then your question has an unworkable premise, sad to say. I can make a great argument for checks and balance when both parties fight when they must and agree when they should.

If it’s not possible to answer the question, I don’t see how anyone can justifiably vote Republican (which I’m not saying you’re advocating, BTW).

I agree that it’s sad that one party in a two-party system doesn’t have a coherent argument in its favor. People who think that Republican = Eisenhower in 2011 are deluded.
