If they priced them at $30 people would think that they were cheap and tacky but at $130 people are to think of them as risky and pushing the envelope.

If shoes were simply things to cover your feet and protect them from the elements, everybody would own 2-3 pairs and they would be priced according to what it cost to manufacture them.

But they are more than that to some of us. Enough of us to make it an industry and a way of life.
