If you’re ever in Simi the nice thing about the Egg House, beyond the complimentary coffee cake, Low Carb Scramble and Crab Benedict plates, is that the owner heavily employs Mexican dudes for both front and back of the house jobs, he promotes from within. The rival, Eggs ‘n Things, is managed by some old white lady who only lets the Mexicans bus tables and work in the kitchen, and almost entirely reserves the server positions for white ladies. The Eggs ‘n Things Omelette is damned good, and you get a complimentary Swedish pancake, but it comes with a side of racism.
