I remember reading at SPLC how white nationalists have been recruiting vets to take advantage of their experience in the military, especially those well-versed in the use of explosives. We had an incident here in Middle GA a couple years back. Some young guys who were vets and active duty decided to form a militia group. They stole some weapons and explosives from Ft. Stewart with the intent of launching what the media termed a terrorist attack on Ft. Stewart. They also had plans to assassinate President Obama, poison the apples in Washington State, release deadly chemicals in Atlanta, and bomb federal buildings in Atlanta. The three killed a soldier and his girlfriend. The guy and his gf were killed to protect the secrecy of the militia group, and he had planned to leave the group. One of the leaders of the group used the money from his dead wife’s insurance policy to purchase the chemicals, explosives, and weapons. His wife was pregnant at the time of her death. It was later determined that he used a choke-hold to kill her. They’re all behind bars and will likely die in prison, which is exactly where they belong.
