We couldn’t stop the nomination.
Maybe can’t temper his power either
We can maybe influence his legacy and memory

We all know what Thomas is and how he votes
No one thinks he’s much of a jurist or thinker

I mean…yeah, Thomas has a lame reputation and still has Anita Hill hanging over his head.

But how much of that matters when he still has his seat at the bench, that he’s got one of the most powerful voices in determining jurisprudence and constitutionality in the country? And nothing about his reputation has tempered that. That’s what I’m afraid of with Kavanaugh. The allegations need to be investigated for sure, and he needs to be pressured, but again, you can’t shame the shameless, and barring a fucking absolute homerun in 2020, we’re never getting rid of him.
