Trump has his highest approval rating in three years at 44.4% at 538.com. A majority still disapprove of him at 51%. My guess is that with the entire GOP and rightwing media, Romney excepted, clearing him of serious wrongdoing and an election coming up, Republican voters are putting their misgivings aside. Trump still has the worst net approval at this point of his presidency of any President since Truman, so he has a tough hill to climb to achieve reelection.
