It’s about a media that actually gives a damn about informing rather than entertaining. And that ceased being the case in the last 30 years when 24/7 news stations realized they needed something to keep people’s attention when there weren’t breaking news events or major events that people kept checking regularly for updates.

I still recall that time in 2016 when our broadcast channels spent the best part of an hour showing an empty podium waiting for Trump to come out and make lame excuses for how his sham charity spent it money while Hillary was giving a speech on improving job opportunities for the handicapped…

I recall a time in 2015 when Trump was bragging how exciting his rallies were while people were falling asleep at Jeb Bush rallies. Within 15 minutes, CNN was airing an interview with a woman who had fallen asleep at a Jeb! rally…
