Zod save me from the morons who stay at hotels these days. Guest calls me to say that “some of the channels on our TV are upside down.” And all I can immediately think is that the TV signal’s fucked, which is not something I can fix without calling the cable company.

Turns out that “channels” was exactly one channel, the hotel advertisement channel that automatically pops up any time you turn on the TV. I flipped through a couple channels then asked if there were specific ones that were upside down, at which point her SO tells her it’s the advertisement channel that’s f’d and she slowly realizes there’s no issue with her TV.

I’d rather deal with guests than with the coworker before me. Didn’t do shit for the laundry. I’ll be lucky to get all the towels she left undone finished by morning (between audit, one more arrival, prepping breakfast, putting receipts under the door of over half the rooms and including guests who asked for early coffee today.) and not even think about the sheet she left undone. Took pictures on the phone this time as the AGM is doing breakfast in the morning.
