Sorry part is that he is actually correct. The government *is* evil. It is inherent in the nature of the thing. It enslaves the populace (at least for a time) stealing the fruits of your labor. It then pisses away it’s ill gotten gains, encouraging indolence, sloth, envy, greed, and gluttony. Destroying persona responsibility, and thereby the human dignity, grace, and very souls of the citizens it purports to serve. It is, and has always been evil. It’s just more noticeable lately (note - I do NOT pretend to claim that it is not a NECESSARY evil - but surely the smaller the government, the less evil it is, and the less power it has to screw up your life.)
