I’m not fond of the government making the decision to monitor my privacy. I don’t think anybody should. If the Patriot Act didn’t exist and it was Obama promoting it today, I think all hell would break lose.

The rest of your post I take as snark, yes? Energy will be Obama’s next major battle, if he really gets to it. I hope he does and I hope he sticks to his ideas of alternative fuel sources. I’d like to see nuclear energy grow, altho disposal is a problem. Solar and wind, too. In fact, most of the large energy companies are already well into solar and wind research.

Natural gas would be the smart move.
