I’m aware of the attempted appropriation of MLK, and JFK is sometimes given as an example of a Democrat RWNJs could supposedly live with.

But FDR? Is there anything more to this than stone cold racists like Michelle Malkin approving of the US internment camps for Japanese-Americans? FDR was ‘that man’ for decades to the Birchers who now run the GOP.
