I’m seeing that Trump’s trying to hide the stats showing his administration’s failures in Puerto Rico on the FEMA site. They got rid of statistics that would show that they’re failing, while keep a few that show progress being made.

It’s entirely in line with Trump’s worldview. He wants to only see the stuff that agrees with him, while claiming everything else is bogus. This is a man who is severely damaged/broken who doesn’t get basic human emotions, like empathy and compassion. Then again, neither does the GOP so there’s perhaps something else going on as well.

Meanwhile, all the talk about Tillerson being on the way out should be a reminder to everyone that Trump can rearrange deck chairs on the Trumptanic, but no one has replaced Kelly at DHS. That position has now been open for 2 months and no one is minding the store.

That directly affects national security.

That directly affects disaster response since FEMA reports to DHS. There’s undersecretary positions that are vacant as well. Again, this undermines national security and puts the nation at risk.

Trump simply doesn’t give a shit to fill those positions.

The GOP is more than content to rubber stamp his extremist judicial picks though all while the GOP in Congress use Trump’s shitstorm to try and destroy the safety net of Medicare and Medicaid all so that it can “pay” for the massive tax scheme giveaway to millionaires like Trump.

Trump could fill Sec. State with Pompeo at CIA, but then that leaves CIA empty.

This is worse than rearranging deck chairs.

This is about Trump systematically destroying the functioning government through actions/incompetence and the so called security hawks at the GOP don’t give a shit to stand up and demand Trump fill these key positions.

Same thing with all the so called constitutional conservatives. All the originalists, etc. It’s all just bullshit branding to cover for their regressive agenda to destroy the power of the federal govt and the safety net, while undermining civil and voting rights for all Americans.
