We The GOP stopped teaching civics a while back and this is what comes of it. Democracy is about choosing the better candidate from among those offered, not voting for your personal ideal choice of candidate.

Using the false choice of STEM, math & reading to destroy the teaching of the liberal arts of History, social studies/civics, art, etc has been one of the most important tools in creating a voting population that can’t see through their lies and thefts.
