Oh… it’s possible that she didn’t know she was allergic to that antibiotic. Or maybe those making the decision were unaware of this allergy.

Many members in my family (not me) have serious allergies to sulfa drugs or various antibiotics. That can certainly hinder successful treatment of various diseases.
