It was mentioned on America’s Test Kitchen that Pyrex can crack when exposed to high temps. Instead of using Pyrex they made the suggestion of porcelain since it can go into a very hot oven.

Also, newer Pyrex isn’t borosilicate glass any more. Just thick tempered glass.
For real borosilicate you can buy stuff like this. Simax is made in Europe because apparently we don’t make borosilicate glass any more. Sigh.
