I just watched the Biography of Mickey Rooney the other night, and of course, she was a big part of his life. The transformation she went through, though - yikes. So sweet, beautiful, and innocent (looking, at least) when she was young, and so incredibly troubled and addicted as an adult. Really tragic.

a good portion of that was the fault of the company: when you were a child contract player, they owned you, and the house doctors did whatever they wanted to keep you w*rking.
