I’m seeing a couple of things today that give me hope that the tide is turning against the bigots, misogynists, and religious right bullies. This Komen reversal is one. It was clearly not the result of a realization that they had made the wrong decision for moral reasons but that the massive and angry pushback was killing their brand and potentially their livelihoods.

The other one is JC Penneys decision to hire Ellen Degeneres as their spokesperson. Naturally, the AFA assholes “Million Moms” (which is probably a couple of hundred pasty old dudes in reality) are demanding that Ellen be dumped because she’s openly gay. JCP is standing firmly behind her and basically swatting AFA away like so many annoying gnats. Apparently JCP is getting a tremendous amount of open support.
