Maybe they’re suffering from email-itis? That is, recently, organization have stopped calling each other over the phone and just email each other regarding their work. I’ve noticed that it’s easy for things to be ignored or taken lightly when it is done by way of email as opposed to getting on the horn.

And I thought it was Italy that was choking in red tape and bureaucracy. If we whitewash gross bureaucratic incompetence and allow political correctness to paralyze us from taking effective action, then we simply enable more of the same.
