We know that Romney carried over losses in ‘08 into ‘10, it’s there in what we have of his ‘10 returns. It’s theoretically plausible that he used those same losses, as many did in the same year, to zero out his income taxes. How would it look for a man accusing half the country of paying no income taxes, of getting fat on the hard work of others, if his returns showed that he made millions on investments but paid not a single cent in income taxes?
