There’s a strong push for Warren as VP.
I don’t know. Warren seems to fit right in in what experience and temperament are concerned. But you can’t fully ignore the identity politics. Namely, a Hispanic VP (of whatever gender) would seal the deal. Two white candidates, maybe not.
I think 85-90% of voters will have no trouble voting for a woman for President nowadays. Two women, though? It shouldn’t make a difference, but I think it would. Enough people were willing to vote for a black candidate in ‘08—but just suppose Obama had chosen a black running mate? It sucks that you have to think about things like this, but you do.
