Remember when President Obama suggested a black man should not be arrested trying to get into his own home and mentioned race may have played a part - the outcry from the GOP in favor of the arresting officer was off the planet. It became a “both sides” issue between Prof Gates and Officer Crowley.

Only white republican presidents can attack US citizens and not be called for what they say.

I remember rather vividly the national shitstorm that erupted simply because he called the arrest “stupid.”
